They work in conjunction with the 12 departments under the City of Omaha’s jurisdiction. The suburban areas not annexed by the city of Omaha, and other small towns that surround the city also have their respective local governments to serve their communities.

We are a diverse population with a median age of 35.2 and more than 40% of the population 24 years of age or younger.
