Although you can fish year-round, during the winter months grab your ice augur and tents and have fun ice fishing for a variety of different fish species including but not limited to, largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, walleye and channel catfish.

The Deviled Egg Co., approximately 6 minutes from Prairie Pointe, is a new and unique business specializing in deviled eggs and cocktails.  The Bearded Brewer, also located by Deviled Egg Co. has local beer and local rotating food trucks to try. There are a number of local bars and dining options you can visit including Timber Creek Pizza, Over Easy, and many more. Whatever your tastes are, there are plenty of other food options in the area with La Mesa for Mexican food and Brewsky’s bar and grill less than 3 minutes away.

Millard Public Schools

The assigned schools are part of the award-winning Milliard Public School system.  Current boundaries are for Millard West High School and Russell Middle School, and there is a split on which school elementary students would attend. Homes to the West of 165th street attend Willowdale and East of that attend Ackerman; however, as a buyer, you should always check with the school district to verify the schools’ boundaries. The US census report that there are 106 toddlers, 138 elementary-age children, 116 middle schoolers, and 103 high school students in the Prairie Point neighborhood.
