Omaha’s Old Market is a mecca for culture. Locals love it as a date night getaway, visitors love it because it offers easy access to the places they plan to visit while in town. With close proximity and, in some cases, walking distance to places like the Orpheum Theater, TD Ameritrade Park, Durham Museum, Gene Leahy Mall, the Henry Doorley Zoo, and Creighton University, it’s no wonder the Old Market has attracted restaurants, pubs, and retail shops that offer visitors a little bit of everything.

Before and after the tragic fire, M’s Pub has consistently been an Omaha darling. With some patio seating and an interior authentically designed for its Old Market home, M’s Pub is almost always packed and reservations required. Cindy Andrew and Deda Myhre both adore M’s Pub. “Like many in Omaha, I couldn't wait for M's Pub to come back to life after the devastating fire.  It's cozy atmosphere is like a warm hug from a friend after a long day.  The perfect place to unwind and catch-up,” Deda said.

While other Old Market staples like Ted and Wally’s, Mr. Toad’s, and Spaghettiworks make the list, some unexpected spots are worth a mention, too.

Chrissy Cameron told us, “The Imaginarium antique shop is so fun to visit for a walk down memory lane.  They have so many vintage toys that take me back to my childhood. And, it's a great place to find a unique gift for that hard to buy for someone.”

An unexpected surprise, but long-standing Old Market gem received favorable mention from Angel Starks. “Art is what lures me to the Old Market, especially Mangelsen Images of Nature Gallery. After eating practically anywhere, I love to visit the Gallery,” she said.

Sometimes us locals need a little reminder of all the unique and special places the Old Market has to offer. We’re guessing you’ve probably already mentally planned your next date night.
