Josie Haussermann

Josie was born and raised in Roseland, a village near Hastings, NE. After graduating from Silver Lake High School, she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. From 2019-2020, she attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, while living in Bellevue. After deciding that becoming a Physician was not the best career path for her, she obtained her Masters in Healthcare Administration and worked in hospital and nursing home leadership for four years in Omaha and McCook. She and her family planted roots in Holdrege, NE in 2024 when Josie’s husband, Ethan, was promoted to a Planner as a Utility Lineman at Nebraska Public Power District in Kearney. Holdrege is the perfect place for them due to the proximity to their families who live in Adams, Franklin, and Harlan counties. This is when Josie decided to take the opportunity to pursue her passion for homes and people with a full time career in real estate.

While Josie has always found joy in making art, designing spaces and curating decor, it was when they moved five times in five years (2019-2024) that she found her interest in real estate and business. She and her husband own a small apartment building that they completely renovated from a nearly uninhabitable state and are planning for more investment properties and flip projects in the near future. She has an entrepreneurial spirit and finds fulfillment in being an active sounding board for people during major life events such as buying or selling a home, investment property, business, or land. Josie is an innovative thinker and is dedicated to doing things the right way. She can see your vision for all types of spaces and is excited to help make your goals reality. Whether this is your first transaction or your fiftieth, Josie will guide you along seamlessly. 

Josie and Ethan have three children: Aila, Kelc, and Duke + a border-doodle, Zola. She loves spending time with the special ones in her life. Josie prefers to always be busy completing a project in her home. You’ll have to ask about her house’s story. Her ideas never seem to end. She enjoys hosting a variety of gatherings with friends and family. At any given moment, you are likely to find her listening to music, tending to her flowers, singing loud in the car, relaxing in her back yard as the kids play, baking a loaf of banana bread or chocolate chip cookies for the neighbors, or gazing off thinking about the next big thing. She is so grateful you’ve found her at this monumental point in your life!
