Janette Nielsen

I’m proud to be a Nebraska native, and excited to use my past career and life experiences to serve people in this exciting industry.  My husband, Jay Nielsen of Nielsen Custom Homes, has over 30 years of experience in residential building and remodeling, and I look forward to supporting his continued success and our family business through Nebraska Realty.  Working in the arena of new construction allows me to have a large role in the design aspect of our projects, from the basic layout & use of space to the finishes from flooring to lighting & everything in between. Outside of work, I love anything sports & anything involving friends & family, especially travel. Prior to my career in real estate & residential construction, I worked for over 15 years in healthcare as an occupational therapist.  I specialized in working with the aging population assisting with home modifications and maximizing accessibility.  This experience will allow me to serve clients with their individual & specific accessibility needs & requests. I am grateful for my clients and the experiences of the last 10 years and look forward to serving you.
