Jane Walford

My journey to the real estate business began on the first day of the Covid Pandemic.  I was a public high school teacher in Tekamah, Nebraska and ready to retire in May of 2020.  Then the world shut down.  I took online classes through the Randall School of Real Estate during lockdown and finished in person once restrictions were lifted.  I became an agent in September of 2021.  I really enjoy my work as an agent, guiding and supporting my clients through major life decisions and changes.  Every deal is different so being an agent is never boring.  

In addition to being a real estate agent I am also the mayor of Tekamah, Nebraska.  I have lived in Tekamah for 37 years.  I met and married my husband here and we raised two amazing young men.  When the boys graduated from high school and went off to college, I had time to give back to my community.  I served on the Tekamah City Council for four years and was elected Mayor in 2022. I love being the Mayor of my community.  Every day is different and I get to serve the people of my community in countless ways.  

My two biggest passions, aside from my family and my jobs, are travel and practicing yoga.  I am fortunate enough to be able to tie those two passions together through yoga retreats.  I have been able to travel to Spain, France, Scotland and this spring I am going to Guatemala.  My yoga family is an amazing group of people and I look forward to every trip.  

Being a real estate agent gives me the flexibility to do my job as mayor and follow my passions.  I am excited to start a new chapter working with Nebraska Realty.
