Because of my background in construction and investing, I tend to look at homes differently than most real estate agents.
Hi, I’m Brooke Johnson, a Realtor with The Schneider Group at Nebraska Realty, where I also serve as Team Manager. My experience in construction, property operations, and real estate investing gives my clients a perspective that goes well beyond a typical real estate transaction.
I’m a licensed General Contractor in the City of Omaha and co-owner of Fat Frog Renovations, a company my husband Jeff and I started to renovate homes and build new construction across the region. Working inside homes every day — remodeling, designing, and building — gives me a practical understanding of what adds value, what doesn’t, and what buyers should actually be paying attention to.
I’m also CASSI Certified (Certified Accessible Solutions and Safety Integrator). This certification focuses on evaluating homes for accessibility, safety, and aging-in-place solutions, helping clients plan for long-term living needs, mobility challenges, or modifications that allow family members to remain safely in their homes.
Earlier in my career, I spent more than two decades in property management and corporate relocation, which gave me a deep understanding of the financial and logistical side of housing.
In 2025, The Schneider Group ranked #3 in transactions and #4 in volume within Nebraska Realty, and I personally finished #29 in transactions and #40 in volume that same year.
I work with buyers, sellers, and investors throughout Southwest Iowa and Southeast Nebraska, helping people evaluate opportunities, understand the true condition and potential of a property, and make smart real estate decisions.
I grew up in Boone County, Iowa, on a pig farm where work started early and everyone pulled their weight. That environment tends to shape how you approach things later in life — practical, straightforward, and not afraid to solve problems.
My philosophy is simple: my job isn’t to sell you a house — it’s to help you make a good decision.
When I’m not working on real estate or renovation projects, you’ll usually find me planning the next project, learning something new, or spending time with family.
