Although I didn’t realize it at the time, my sales career started in 1982 when I was in 7th grade, and I took over my tiny town’s newspaper route. Whether sunshine or snow, wind or rain, I delivered the news six days a week (there was no newspaper on Sunday back then – can you imagine that today?!)
So how did a preacher’s kid from Canada end up in Nebraska selling real estate?
After a few years of real world experience following high school, I headed south to Nebraska and my parents’ alma mater at (the now-defunct) Dana College. Four years later, armed with a degree in Communications, I once again set out in search of “real world experience.”
For the next nine years, I worked in radio in Lincoln and Omaha, both on the air and behind the scenes. Six of those years were spent writing, directing and producing advertising campaigns for Lincoln business owners, helping them grow their companies and increase their revenues.
These days, my real world experience consists of helping homebuyers find their new home, and assisting sellers as they prepare to make a move. I also manage investment properties for over 20 different owners. With straightforward and honest communication, my goal is to make the moving process educational, fun and anxiety-free!
